[edit] Day 1: Monday

See the Schedule page for a detailed schedule of the day.

Task 0: Come prepared to talk about problems you are interested in working on this week. This will help us all to get organized into working groups by the end of the day.

Task 1: Get to the TransCanada Pipelines pavilion before 8:45am.

At 8:45am the BIRS station manager will jointly address both workshops that are running this week in the TransCanada Pipelines pavilion. This will probably happen in (TCPL) Room 201, or the room next door (follow the crowd). At 9:00am we kick off our workshop in (TCPL) Room 202.

If you haven't already, collect your name tag from the BIRS lounge in Corbett hall (day 0, task 1).

Note: Breakfast is served from 7am.

[edit] Day 0: Getting to BIRS

Task 0: get to the Banff International Research Station (BIRS).

We expect most participants will be arriving through the day on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Calgary International Airport (YYC). BIRS is located on the Banff Centre campus. Upon arrival, check-in at the front desk reception in the Professional Development Centre building (see Banff centre map). Reception can direct you to Corbett hall where all BIRS participants will be staying. There is no official programming for the workshop on Sunday. Feel free to make use of the facilities to work on your favourite problems, meet other participants, and enjoy the grounds of the Banff centre and surrounding area.
